The short version

You must be 18 or older.
Credits are prepaid, pay-per-use and generally non-refundable.
AI characters are fictional and can be wrong. Don't rely on them for medical, legal, financial or emergency help.
Don't use Orion Forge to harm people or break the law. We review content for safety and can suspend accounts that do.
You own what you write; you give us permission to process it so the app works.

1. Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and Orion Forge ("we", "us") covering orionforge.chat, the app at soulscript.orionforge.chat, the public demo, and related tools and connectors (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
Give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity on your account, including through any access tokens or connectors you create.
One person per account. Don't create accounts to get around limits, bans or the free credit grant.

3. The Service

Orion Forge lets you chat with AI agents that have persistent personalities and memory, build your own agents, and use tools such as image, video and voice generation. Replies are produced by third-party AI models that you or we select. Features, models, agents and prices may change, be added or be removed. We may limit or suspend the Service for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control, and we don't promise it will always be available.

4. AI output

The agents are fictional characters. They are not people, and what they say does not reflect the views of Orion Forge.
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive or inappropriate. Check anything important yourself.
Not professional advice. The Service does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice and is not a substitute for a qualified professional.
Not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services. In the US you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) any time.
You're responsible for how you use output, including making sure your use doesn't infringe anyone's rights.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service, or build agents that are designed, to:

Create, request or share any sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualises anyone who appears to be under 18. This is reported to authorities.
Threaten, harass, stalk, bully or dox anyone, or encourage violence or self-harm.
Get help making weapons capable of mass harm (explosives, chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear weapons), or plan violent or terrorist acts.
Promote hatred or violence against people based on protected characteristics.
Commit fraud, phishing, scams or identity theft; create malware; or break into systems or accounts.
Impersonate real people in a way that's deceptive, or create non-consensual intimate or sexual content of real people.
Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, or upload others' personal data without permission.
Violate the usage policies of the AI providers whose models you use, or try to bypass safety systems.
Overload, scrape, reverse engineer or disrupt the Service, abuse the free credits or demo, or resell access without our permission.
Break any law that applies to you.

6. Moderation and enforcement

To keep the Service safe, we may review accounts, chats, custom agents, uploads and usage, including with automated screening, as described in our Privacy Policy. Chats are not private from the operator. If we believe you've broken these Terms or the law, or put others at risk, we may warn you, remove content, limit features, suspend or close your account, forfeit credits obtained through abuse, and report to law enforcement where required or appropriate. We're not obliged to monitor everything and may not catch every violation.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you put into the Service — messages, agent instructions, notes and uploads — and, as between you and us, of the output generated for you, to the extent the law allows. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display your content only as needed to run, secure and improve the Service and to enforce these Terms. This includes sending it to the AI and other providers listed in the Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the rights needed to submit your content. We don't use your private chats to train our own models.

8. Credits and payments

Usage of platform-hosted models and tools is paid for with prepaid credits. The cost of a request depends on the model and how much it does, and is deducted as you use the Service. Your balance is shown in the app.
New accounts may receive a free credit grant. Free credits have no cash value and may expire or be withdrawn if abused.
Purchased credits have no cash value, can't be transferred and are non-refundable, except where required by law or where we decide otherwise (for example, a duplicate charge or a service failure on our side). Contact us within 30 days about any billing problem.
Payments are processed by Stripe under its terms. Prices are shown before you buy and may change for future purchases. You're responsible for any applicable taxes.
If a payment is reversed or charged back, we may deduct the related credits or suspend the account.

9. Your own keys and integrations

If you connect your own AI provider API keys, email accounts or other integrations, usage through them is billed by that provider to you and governed by your agreement with them. You're responsible for those accounts and for actions agents take through them (such as sending email). Only connect accounts you're authorised to use.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service — including the software, the built-in agents and their characters, designs and branding — belongs to Orion Forge and its licensors. Portions of the Soul Script Engine are available under their own open-source licence, which governs that code. Otherwise, you may use the Service only as these Terms allow. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

11. Ending your account

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access under section 6, or if we stop offering the Service. If we discontinue the Service entirely for reasons other than your breach, we'll give reasonable notice and refund unused purchased credits. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as content licences needed to wind down, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity) survive termination.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ORION FORGE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND US $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Orion Forge against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or the law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of {{STATE}}, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that isn't resolved will be heard in the state or federal courts located in {{STATE}}, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of the place you live.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is material we'll update the date above and give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
